BracketBrains is the work of Mike Greenfield and Tom Federico. Mike has been at the forefront of sports rankings and predictions since the late 1990's. He started Team Rankings while working toward his B.S. in Mathematical and Computational Science from Stanford University. Tom, who has a B.S. and M.S. in Industrial Engineering from Stanford, combines sports expertise with a strong background in product management.
In 2005, Mike used BracketBrains to annihilate the competition in his 51-person NCAA Tournament Pool, recording the highest score in the pool's 13-year history. Tom "only" came in second in the pool he entered. Mike generously offered his help in showing Tom how to use BracketBrains more effectively!
In 2006, Mike and Tom again fared well with BracketBrains. Both finished second in pools of 30+ people.
