What's New in BracketBrains 2008

After its successful rookie year, BracketBrains is back and much improved. Although last year's version won positive customer reviews and press coverage for its innovative design and ease-of-use, it was very much a "1.0 product." By the time we launched it, we already had a wish list of enhancements identified that we simply didn't have time to incorporate before Selection Sunday 2006.

We've had a busy off-season. BracketBrains 2008 incorporates a number of new improvements, most of which we made in response to the incredible outpouring of feedback and suggestions we received from all the BracketBrainiacs out there. So thank you all for your input! Now for the highlights:
  • New product editions that target your specific needs. Whether you are a hard-core NCAA bracket enthusiast, a casual office pool competitor, or a frequent wagerer on college basketball games, we have a specific flavor of BracketBrains designed for you.

  • Bracket Mode option for modeling an entire NCAA bracket. Leads you through each bracket matchup in the 2008 tourney, dynamically updating future matchup scenarios based on who you pick to win.

  • Completely revamped user interface. We've incorporated some of the latest advances in web technology to clarify the presentation of prediction results and simplify the user experience.

  • Expert advice and supporting content. All available modeling factors are precisely defined, with explanations given regarding when each factor may play a critical role in determining game outcomes. We've also added tips on how to use BracketBrains to craft a winning bracket picking strategy.

  • SmartStatz predictive matchup profiles. Enhanced versions of BracketBrains now include our very own SmartStatz game matchup profiles, which expand the scope of data analyzed, help to identify critical statistical mismatches, and take our predictive technology to the box-score level.

  • Enhanced functionality for wagerers. In addition to predicting expected margin of victory, enhanced versions of BracketBrains now calculate expected breakeven-return money line odds as well as predicted final scores.
